Rent deposits
The rent deposit of a token account the wallet owns is locked when the account is created and comes back when it is closed, never transferred: locking it is no disposal and its return no acquisition, since nothing changed hands with a third party.
Rn. 54 Erforderlich sind ein Anschaffungs- und ein Veräußerungsvorgang. Unter einer Anschaffung ist der entgeltliche Erwerb von Dritten zu verstehen. Dies umfasst insbesondere die im Zusammenhang mit der Blockerstellung (vgl. Randnummer 42) und gegebenenfalls die durch einen ICO oder Airdrop (vgl. Randnummer 75) erlangten Kryptowerte. Entgeltlich erworben sind zudem alle Kryptowerte, die Steuerpflichtige im Tausch gegen Einheiten einer staatlichen Währung (z. B. Euro), Waren oder Dienstleistungen sowie gegen andere Kryptowerte erworben haben, sowie die durch Lending und (passivem) Staking erlangten Kryptowerte. Spiegelbildlich zur Anschaffung stellt die entgeltliche Übertragung des angeschafften Wirtschaftsguts auf Dritte eine Veräußerung dar. Der Tausch von Kryptowerten in Einheiten einer staatlichen Währung (z. B. Euro), Waren oder Dienstleistungen sowie in andere Kryptowerte führt demgemäß zu einer Veräußerung.
